Bitly
Set up Bitly OAuth for link shortening and click analytics

Step 1: Create a Bitly OAuth App
Section titled “Step 1: Create a Bitly OAuth App”Go to Bitly Developer Settings
Navigate to Bitly Settings > API > OAuth Apps and sign in.
Register a new application
Click Register New Application.
Configure the application
Fill in the application name, link, and description.
Add the redirect URI
Add the Redirect URI from the Developer Portal to the Redirect URIs field.
Get credentials
Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
Step 2: Add to Alter Vault
Section titled “Step 2: Add to Alter Vault”Open the Developer Portal
Go to portal.alterauth.com and navigate to the application.
Add Bitly provider
Go to OAuth Providers > Add Provider > Bitly.
Enter credentials
- Client ID: Paste your Bitly Client ID
- Client Secret: Paste your Bitly Client Secret
Save
Click Save. The provider is now active.
- Bitly does not use scopes. OAuth tokens have full access to the user’s account.
- Bitly tokens do not expire and cannot be refreshed.
