Overview

Use Browserbase credentials to make authenticated API calls through Alter Vault without exposing API keys in code.

Step 1: Get Credentials

Log in to the Browserbase Dashboard

Log in to the Browserbase Dashboard at browserbase.com.

Open project Settings

Open Settings for the project at browserbase.com/settings.

Copy the key

Copy the API Key, and note the Project ID — most endpoints require it as a parameter.

Warning

Never share credentials publicly. Store them securely and only enter them in the Alter Vault Developer Portal.

Step 2: Add to Alter Vault

Open the Developer Portal

Go to portal.alterauth.com and navigate to the application.

Add Browserbase

Go to Managed Secrets > Add Provider > Browserbase.

Enter credentials

Paste your API Key into the credential field.

Save

Click Save. You’ll receive a grant_id to use with the SDK.

Notes

• The key is injected via the X-BB-API-Key header. Most endpoints also take a projectId, passed in the request body by the caller.
